L&S Segment:
Expanding Permian Basin Infrastructure: MPLX is investing in natural gas, natural gas liquids, and crude oil pipeline infrastructure in the Permian and Bakken basins.
BANGL Pipeline Expansion: The BANGL joint venture pipeline is being expanded to 250,000 barrels per day (bpd), with completion expected in Q1 2025.
Permian-to-Gulf Coast Pipelines: MPLX and its partners are advancing the Blackcomb and Rio Bravo pipelines, designed to transport natural gas from the Permian Basin to domestic and export markets on the Gulf Coast. Both pipelines are anticipated to be operational in H2 2026.
G&P Segment:
Permian Basin Focus: MPLX continues to prioritize the Permian Basin, with new plants increasing gas processing capacity in the Delaware Basin to 1.4 billion cubic feet per day (Bcf/d):
Preakness II (200 million cubic feet per day or MMcf/d) began operations in July 2024.
Secretariat (200 MMcf/d) is expected to come online in H2 2025.
Marcellus Basin Expansion: MPLX is expanding its footprint in the Marcellus Basin, increasing gas processing capacity to 8.1 Bcf/d and total fractionation capacity to 800,000 bpd:
Harmon Creek II (200 MMcf/d) began operations in February 2024.
Harmon Creek III (300 MMcf/d and 40,000 bpd de-ethanizer) is expected to come online in H2 2026.
Utica Basin Optimization: MPLX is optimizing existing capacity in the Utica Basin, with gas processing volumes up 50% year-to-date compared to 2023.
